Today is the anniversary of an infamous assault on our country. It’s hard to be reminded of this day but we must remember. We must recount that there are enemies to our country and they mean harm. But so much more than that, we must remember that our people love this country. We are sorrowed by the extreme loss on our own soil, but we are resolute in comforting those who mourn and our desire to see that it never happens again. Many of us pray that God will protect and defend us as His people as we look to Him for answers to yesterday’s pain, today’s fears and tomorrow’s uncertainties.
